A spectacular large ammonite from Madagascar, expertly sectioned into two matching halves and presented on a custom-made metal display with an open-close system. The articulated support allows the specimen to be displayed either closed, recreating the monumental profile of the ammonite, or opened to reveal its extraordinary internal structure.

Each polished half measures approximately 61 × 48 × 6.5 cm, while the complete piece weighs about 75 kg. The cross-section exposes the fossil’s intricate spiral and clearly defined chambers, enriched by warm amber, honey, brown and cream tones. Many of the internal cavities preserve natural crystalline and mineral formations developed during the fossilisation process, creating sparkling surfaces, small geode-like pockets and remarkable variations in texture.

The contrast between the polished chamber walls, translucent mineralised areas and naturally open crystalline cavities makes every section visually unique.
