This beautiful Nautilus pompilius shell has been expertly sectioned and polished to reveal the remarkable internal geometry of one of nature’s most iconic marine mollusks. The precise cut exposes the elegant logarithmic spiral and the sequence of internal chambers that once allowed the animal to regulate its buoyancy.
Both the exterior and interior surfaces display a luminous mother-of-pearl (MOP) layer, producing delicate iridescent reflections that shift from soft pink to pearly white under changing light. The golden spiral of the internal chambers contrasts beautifully with the nacreous shell, highlighting the natural symmetry that has fascinated scientists and artists alike.
Measuring 16.5 cm, this specimen is a striking piece for natural history collections, cabinets of curiosity, or refined interior displays.
The specimen is sold with valid CITES documentation and is available for sale within European Union countries only, in full compliance with wildlife trade regulations.
