ARTIST
Silvia Della Rocca is a multifaceted artist. In addition to dedicating herself to the exploration of new forms of material art, she is a journalist, writer, author, and director of TV formats and documentaries. As a photographer and videomaker, she is part of the professional team of Fotovideoacademy Italia.
With her two collections, GENESIS and MOTHER EARTH, she has taken part in numerous exhibitions, showing her work in galleries, museums, historic palaces, castles, and institutional venues.
Her artistic journey arises from the need to give form—through matter—to the deep connection she feels with the Elements of Nature, crystals, stones, corals, ancient woods, and with the energies of the Universe, especially the Moon, which with its aura of mystery and magic has fascinated peoples and cultures all over the world since ancient times.
GENESIS
Each representation of the Moon and the Planets, in their many manifestations, forms, and colors, carries with it symbolism and a story; it is an invitation for humanity to once again turn its gaze toward the Infinite, beyond the limits of the Ego, and at the same time inward, toward the Self—seeking a renewed connection with Nature and the Universe. A connection we have forgotten, often mistaking the virtual world for the real one, and the illusions of the mind for the feelings of the heart.
MOTHER EARTH
The “Mother Earth” series brings us back to the Soul of this World through works that are deeply connected to Mother Earth, where natural elements are used—such as precious ancient woods, stones and crystals, mosses and lichens, corals and shells—rich in symbolic meaning.
Each piece of wood has a millennial story to tell and unique qualities that make it timeless; each stone has a specific vibration and frequency that can influence our physical, psychological, and spiritual well-being. It is a sublimation through Art of the bond that every human being has with Nature and with their deepest Self. Because Nature knows how to speak to those who are able to listen with the heart.
