A striking dialogue between time, form, and material, this sculptural composition features two genuine ammonite fossils of the species Cleoniceras, sourced from the rich fossil beds of Madagascar. Preserved in lustrous hematite and delicately veined with natural pyrite traces, each spiral—formed over 100 million years ago—reveals intricate crystalline patterns where silvery-grey tones are enlivened by subtle metallic shimmer.

The fossils are mounted on a custom-crafted metal support that elevates them into a dynamic, almost kinetic arrangement. One ammonite stands poised and complete, while the other is presented in a refined section, exposing its inner chambers—together forming a balanced yet asymmetrical composition. The interplay between the two creates a sense of movement and harmony, as if the forms are engaged in a quiet, timeless conversation.

The matte black base and slender vertical supports provide a minimalist counterpoint, allowing the organic complexity of the fossils to take center stage. The result is both a natural artifact and a contemporary design object—equally at home in a curated interior, a collector’s cabinet, or a modern workspace.
