The specimen displays a beautifully glossy dorsum densely covered with dark rounded spots over a pale cream to bluish-grey ground. Particularly attractive are the subtle blue-grey tones visible across the surface, which give the shell considerable depth and contrast. Its smooth, highly polished appearance is entirely natural and characteristic of cowries.
