An impressive natural composition featuring three large fossilized Pecten shells preserved together on their original sedimentary block. The overlapping arrangement creates a sculptural, almost architectural formation, with each shell displaying the characteristic fan-shaped outline and radiating ribs typical of these marine bivalves.

Identified as Chlamys latissima, these specimens date to the Miocene Epoch, approximately 23.03–5.33 million years ago, when ancient seas supported abundant and diverse mollusc communities. Their substantial size and the presence of three specimens together make this an especially decorative fossil group.

The pale ivory and cream tones of the shells contrast subtly with the natural matrix, while traces of sediment and age-related surface details preserve the authentic character of the fossils. At nearly 7.7 kg, the piece has a strong presence and works beautifully as a natural history display, collector’s specimen, or distinctive decorative object.
