These exceptional XL/XXL-sized Megalodon teeth measure approximately 16 cm along the longest edge. They come from the unique sandstone-rich deposits of Indonesia, which often require partial restoration of the roots. Due to the nature of the sediment—a compact, grainy sandstone—it is common for root material to be indistinguishable from the surrounding matrix, making careful extraction difficult. As a result, the roots on these specimens may show professional restoration where the distinction between tooth and sediment was lost during recovery. Despite this, the enamel is in outstanding condition, showcasing a glossy finish and excellent preservation. The serrations are well-defined, with little to no wear—an exceptional detail that adds to the tooth’s value and appeal.
