These natural specimens from the Philippines are characterized by a strongly ribbed surface covered with long, irregular spines that project outward in every direction. Their coloration ranges through beautiful tones of coral red, pink, burgundy and violet, sometimes highlighted by lighter cream or yellowish tips along the spines.
